Our FOUNDING Pastors...

God's Call...

It was with the verses of scripture from the Book of Isaiah that the Lord called Pastors Al and Reva Ehmen into His ministry.

Over the years God formed the foundation of our church Body, Shepherd of Love Fellowship, by developing His beautiful gifts of pastor, apostle, prophet, teacher and evangelist in this family.

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.

"To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

"To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty (and garland) for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified."

Home Fellowship

In the 1960's a home fellowship formed at the Ehmen's home in Pony Estates in Broomfield. Many lives changed through prayer and the ministry of the Holy Ghost. During this time, Pastors Al and Reva, with their family, also conducted a radio program to share God's good news.

A Growing Body

By the early 1980's God brought into the home fellowship families and individuals who would later form a core group of leaders in the church Body God was developing.

In 1982 a board of directors was created, and Shepherd of Love Fellowship became incorporated into the State of Colorado.

The Lord placed in our pastors a vision for various ways in which to minister and deliver the message He had implanted in their hearts: prayer groups, men's and ladies' Bible study groups, a music ministry, plays and productions, as well as a monthly newsletter.

In time our services were moved into the clubhouse of a mobile home park. More moves followed...to school auditoriums, a recreation center, another church facility, and finally a warehouse before a move into Shepherd of Love's own church building...

Building the Church

Pastors Al and Reva and all of us at Shepherd of Love Fellowship glorify God for His gift to us in fulfilling our vision in building the church facility which houses our Body and many generations to come.
